Robert Zemeckis brings us the true story of Philippe Petit, the single-minded Frenchman who performed a high-wire walk between the two towers of the World Trade Centre in 1974.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is slightly annoying as the determined, slightly insane Frenchman, particularly in the narration of his own story. But the initial irritation fades through the highly enjoyable and suspenseful story-telling, and the wonderful 3D!
Charlotte Le Bon is delightful as his love interest/accomplice, Annie and Ben Kingsley is incredibly likeable as Petit’s mentor, Papa Rudy.
It gets a 7.5/10
