Spectre

Spectre is the hugely anticipated final film in the Daniel Craig quadrilogy and it is really the culmination of the three movies before it, with characters from Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall either being made direct mention of, or being alluded to in the opening sequence as shards of memory…

I really miss Judi Dench as M, but Ralph Fiennes is pretty good and actually has a couple of zinging one-liners. Naomie Harris has a slightly bigger “spy-type” role as Eve Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw returns as Bond’s Quartermaster, Q.

This is the quintessential Bond film – a phenomenal car, obligatory epic car chase, the silent but deadly henchman and the crazed madman with a personal vendetta against Bond.

Lea Seydoux is not your typical Bond girl, but she is incredibly striking and vulnerable, and also really smart and likeable.

It is the longest James Bond to date at 2 and a half hours, and I am giving it a shaken, not stirred

8/10.
