Me And Earl And The Dying Girl

A strange tale of a forced friendship between self-deprecating high school Senior, Greg (Thomas Mann) and classmate Rachel, who has just been diagnosed with leukemia.

Greg and his “co-worker,” (read: best friend) Earl, make parodies of classic movies, and are enlisted by one of Rachel’s friends to make one for “the dying girl.”

This sweet, touching but slightly weird coming-of-age Indie film was a glorious success at the Sundance Film Festival, and Thomas Mann is a name I expect to hear a lot more in the future.

Expect to chuckle, but take a tissue or two – 7/10
