It is rare that a sequel surpasses the original film, but “London Has Fallen” far outshines its predecessor, Olympus Has Fallen. Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart reprise their roles as Secret Service agent Mike Banning and President Benjamin Asher; Angela Bassett is back as the head of the Secret Service, and Morgan Freeman has been promoted to vice-president.

The British prime minister dies very suddenly and the World’s leaders find themselves under siege at the state funeral in England’s capital, as retribution for a drone strike two years before. The attack is well-planned, perfectly calculated, and devastating – both in body count and damage to the historic city of London.

Great story, great action sequences and a much better script than the first movie. I didn’t particularly enjoy Olympus Has Fallen, but loved London Has Fallen!! I highly recommend it as a Friday night flick – hugely enjoyable.
