The battle between the Bat of Gotham and the Son of Krypton is now in theatres.

Henry Caville is back as Superman, Jesse Eisenberg is great as Lex Luthor Jnr, Amy Adams reprises her role as Lois Lane and Ben Affleck’s first outing as Batman really isn’t bad.

The special effects are good and it is certainly the visual spectacle I was expecting, but I found the script very average, and the rivalry between the man of steel and the bat vigilante of Gotham became a bit much.

 

It was definitely a set-up for a whole new series starring Wonder Woman, Aqua Man and a bunch of other characters. Viewers who are not ardent DC Comics fans may be disappointed, as this film does not live up to the hype.
